We are open from 8.00am to 6.00pm.

We are closed on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.

Each day there are two duty doctor surgeries, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Appointments for these surgeries can only be booked on the day.

Additionally, unless a doctor is away on leave, there are also four routine surgeries, two in the morning and two in the afternoon. Appointments for these surgeries can be booked upto 10 weeks in advance.

Some of the doctors seem more 'popular' and so there is a longer wait for their routine appointments.

When a doctor takes some leave this inevitably causes an increase in the waiting time.

The duty doctor surgery provides medical cover to patients who find that their symptoms have become so severe that they need to see a doctor straight away. Please do not use this surgery to request repeat prescriptions or medical certificates.

Acting on the doctors' instructions, the receptionists will ask you for certain information as your appointment is booked.
Everything possible will be done to keep to your appointment time, but occasionally there will be delays beyond our control. We will endeavour to keep you informed of any hold ups.

If you are unable to keep an appointment then please tell us as soon as possible. Your call will release an appointment that someone else can make use of.

EMERGENCY CALLS WHEN THE SURGERY IS CLOSED

NHS Kent and Medway Primary Care Trust is responsible for providing services between 6.30pm and 8.00am on weekdays and throughout weekends and public holidays. The medical work is undertaken by South East Health Ltd. The service is for medical emergencies only. If the problem is not urgent then please wait until normal surgery hours. If you are unsure as to whether the problem is urgent or not, then please ask to speak to the duty doctor.
