Clean Air Day – 19th June
Clean Air Day is the UK's largest air pollution campaign, held annually on the third Thursday of June. This year it falls on Thursday 19 June 2025.
Why Clean Air Matters
Air pollution is a leading environmental health risk, linked to up to 36,000 deaths annually in the UK. It can harm every organ in the body, increasing the risk of respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, allergies, and even mental health issues.
How Our Staff Are Supporting Clean Air Day
Our dedicated staff are actively participating in Clean Air Day through various initiatives:
- Staff will be encouraged to walk, cycle, or use public transport to commute. This will help to reduce emissions and promote healthier lifestyles.
- Save energy by turning off lights and unplugging devices when not in use.
- Green Plan – our commitment to
How You Can Help Support Clean Air Day
- Park and Stride: if driving is necessary, consider parking further away from your destination and walking the last part of the journey. This reduced emissions and promotes physical activity.
- Switched off your engines when stationary.
- Turn off lights and unplug unused devices.
- Avoid burning wood or solid fuels. These can release harmful pollutants in the air. If it’s your only source of heat, ensure you are using ‘ready to burn’ materials.
