Safeguarding

BACK TO MAIN INDEX

Any organisation or person who comes into contact with a child or adult at risk of abuse or neglect has a responsibility and a role to play to keep them safe. In other words, safeguarding is everyone’s business.

The legal framework to protect children is contained in “Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015” and the "Care Act 2014" gave safeguarding adults a legal framework for the first time.

All members of staff are made aware of the internal arrangements for recording concerns about a child, young person or an adult at risk.

The practice complies with the procedures in place locally, in addition to national guidelines.
